I work primarily in oils, painting both on location and in the studio. My practice centres on close observation and the challenge of translating what I see into shape, light, and atmosphere. Whether painting a still life, a portrait, an interior, or a scene outdoors, I aim to simplify and distil, capturing something immediate and alive within the subject. Each piece is a record of attention—of time spent looking, and the quiet decisions that make a painting.
