Statement
Early last year my wife gifted me The Artists Way and after a bit of resistance I fully embraced all 12 weeks of the course. Since then, I have been experimenting and exploring drawings and paintings. Currently this mostly takes the form of observational drawing of environments, people and animals, but also abstract or cartoony doodling. I've found particular enjoyment in observing gesture and form in people and playing around with the form it takes on the page. Having had no formal training or studying, I still feel like I have so much to learn and absorb but I've been having such a blast creating and sharing. I've been to several years of The Big Art Show and have loved seeing the variety in all the works selected, I've always come away feeling so inspired and motivated. I was sadly a little too late to enter last years show so have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this years. Thank you so much for your consideration.
