Località Pittoresca
My entry for the ‘Big Art Show 2025’ is an example from my ‘Held Up To Light’ collection of collage works. These pieces are created, or rather discovered, by holding up book pages to a source of light to reveal hidden composite collages, formed by images from either side of the page merging to create a new, previously unseen image. These fleeting illusions are captured in high-definition photography and digitally printed on a high-quality paper.
The piece I propose for this exhibition is called 'Localita Pittoresca' from the ‘Le coste del Mediterraneo’ series, gleaned from the 1976 Italian book publication of the same name.
I propose exhibiting this print in a relatively large format to showcase the high level of detail. I can supply the gallery with 10 copies of this image, carefully packaged in cardboard tubes, for eventual purchase. I can print additional copies to order, allowing visitors to purchase further editions of these prints in various sizes and price points.
