This work appropriates the image of a uniformed post-WW1 Harwin 'Eyes Right Highland Dog' mascot toy and links it to two figures, each with collaged components. One figure is collaged from oil on paper onto canvas, providing textural, tonal and colour contrast. The other figure has eyes collaged from a figure in a separate, unseen painting. Loose colour blocking and movement bars direct the subjects and viewers - but not to logical locations within the image. This work is predominantly oil on canvas, with limited collage of paper and tracing paper.
