This work starts from the base of rude colour blocking on grid, with overlays of figurative and animalistic suggestions. Oil paint and oilbar describe gestures and movement across the canvas, marking north-south and east-west contrast in tone, colour, mark marking and texture. Primary, redundant drawing is left visible, glimpsing the compositional evolution.
