A postcard from the UK
This photograph was never meant to be taken.
The photographer was supposed to be on a flight from Leeds to Warsaw, on her way to say a last goodbye to her grandfather.
But due to exceptionally strong winds, the flight was cancelled.
On the journey back to Glasgow, this place became an unexpected stop – a quiet moment of pause amidst the grief and exhaustion.
She made it to Poland five days later, on a different flight.
