Culzean in Winter, and the sun sets was inspired by a late afternoon walk in winter, through the beautiful woodland near The Swan Pond at NTS Culzean Country Park, South Ayrshire. Painted in watercolour, inks, acrylic, wax pastels and spray paint over collage, the painting depicts the tangle of dark undergrowth beneath bare trees, with the gentle glow of the setting sun lighting the scene from behind.
