This feline portrait is titled ‘A Light in the Dark’, which alludes to the highlights of the tabby cat’s fur against the tenebrous background. The title also refers to the joy that pets bring to our lives, particularly during difficult times. My intention behind this piece was to spotlight the soulful expression of the cat, partially obscured by shadow.
