Wee Visitors 1 (Rabbits)

‘Wee visitors’ 1 & 2 are not meant to be photo realistic, they’re not about creating perfection, they are about satisfying my own need to replicate what I see on paper and have a little fun at our expense. Not only humans appreciate art.
‘Wee visitors’ 1 & 2 are playful little mice coming to view framed art works - not exclusively a human pass time.

I’ve always used Graphite pencil to recreate what I see in front or around me. It’s always been about using a line, a ‘style’, my style. I use it to recreate what I’m seeing in as much detail as I can. My practice is about exploring texture within line, in mono chrome and now in painting, creating the feel and texture of the fine hairs and skin we see on animals, insects and in my every day surrounds.

Ive becoming adept at creating surfaces which are almost alive, that suggest texture movement that pleases the senses and makes you want to touch the image in front of you but if you did it would change the perceptions we see or feel.
