In the other's skin
This piece explores the idea that we share the same origin, no matter how different we appear. A fox and a woman stand side by side, mirroring one another; not just in gaze, but in shared features that blur the boundaries between species and self.

By blending elements of each into the other, the work invites the viewer to reflect on empathy as physical and emotional.

It was created through digital painting, using an XP-PEN in Photoshop and layered textures to build organic transitions between fur and skin, animal and human.

When we look closely at those around us, we see that our gestures, rhythms, and biological responses reflect one another.

In this image, empathy is not a feeling, it’s a recognition: the other’s skin is also your own.
