Abstract Christmas Light. Primary colour Investigation.
This Painting was the final development in a series of Abstract paintings that explore how an image can be abstracted using Primary colours and creative liberties with the composition. The composition is inspired by a photo taken of a red Christmas light inside my Christmas tree. The composition was abstracted and reduced to primary colours to explore how the colours interact in this strange composition. I used Florescent Yellow acrylic paint to add to the boldness of the artwork.
The artwork is as much about the bold colours and paint used as it is about the abstracted composition drawn from a photo.
