Watercolour on Saunders Waterford on NOT surface paper. Inspired by the beautiful flowers that appear every year in the "no man's land" beyond my garden. Despite being neglected they appear every year, cheerful and bright. Their delicate colour combinations at odds with their strength and ability to survive. I wanted to capture the delicacy in each petal whilst showing the strength and robust nature of this plant when viewed as a whole.
