Clyde Wood Pens

Clyde Wood Pens, Painting
Clyde Wood Pens
The old Clyde wood pens at Woodall, Port Glasgow, once held wood that was being seasoned for shipbuilding in the days before steel and iron. Seaweed has attached itself to many of the poles, creating a somewhat spooky scene that appears to be creatures rising from the river. Painted in 2025 using gouache and watercolour pencil on watercolour board.
