‘This burd was a wean o’ the 70s!’ (This woman was a child of the 70s!)
Reminiscing about the fashion and culture of the 1970s inspired me to create this piece of work. Guided by the proportions of the paper and working from right to left I relished the challenge of creating a visually interesting composition by balancing empty space and large areas of intricate detail whilst incorporating the visual design elements of pattern and texture into the geometric distortion of the human form. This artwork will be mounted within a 60 by 90cm frame.
