‘Glesga’s goat style’ (Glasgow has style)
The inspiration for this piece of work was the large metal structures above the entrances to Princes Square on ‘Glasgow’s Style Mile - Buchanan Street. I find it visually exciting to incorporate the graphic distortion of the human form into the decorative elements of pattern and texture as well as juxtaposing space, solid black panels and areas of intricate detail. The title is a nod to my Glaswegian upbringing. This work will be mounted within a 60 by 90cm frame.
