my work explores the relationship between horror and femininity, especially with influences from film and pop culture. the contrast between dark, gory media and traditionally 'girly' elements such as hot pink, hearts and sparkles has fascinated me for a while now. I've always loved halloween and scary films for as long as i remember and a large part of my identity growing up has revolved around embracing femininity (particularly in relation to sexuality- that being feminine isn't something inherently done 'for men' but rather for self expression). Predominantly my work creates narratives with these themes, typically non-linear, shown through mostly paintings or stylised drawings.along with occasionally delving into photographs and collage which i find comes from my love of film and the
