Statement
I am a Caymanian artist known for my bold, expressive works that explore my identity, heritage, and socio-political themes. I was born in Grand Cayman to Scottish parents, and my art challenges conventional aesthetics, using dynamic brushstrokes, vivid colors, and textual elements to engage viewers in deeper conversations. I have exhibited widely in the Cayman Islands, including solo shows such as Taobh Thiar De Na Cnamh Behind The Bones) at Parcel 110 and gov.ky at The Gallery in Camana Bay. My work has been featured in major group exhibitions, including 81 Degrees West and the Cayman Islands Biennial at the National Gallery. In 2024, my series Another Young Caymanian was showcased at Gram Bella’s and I later participated in Dialogue at Play, a cross-cultural exhibition with Jamaican artist Scott Braque. My contributions to the Caymanian art scene have been recognized with a permanent acquisition by the National Museum of the Cayman Islands. My work is also represented at Carlos Garcia Fine Art Gallery in Grand Cayman. I continue to push artistic boundaries, using his practice to question, provoke, and inspire.
