Statement

Born in Durban South Africa in 1993 my family moved to the historic market town Marlborough in the South of England at the age of 5.

Beginning and completing my GCSEs and A Levels at New College in Swindon over a five year span, I began college in 2007 at the age of 14 after struggling with ADHD. Masking began to slip soon after moving to the UK and I spent a lot of my childhood in isolation, being permanently excluded from two schools and attending a behavioural centre for 6 months before starting the pre 16 course at College. I then received a Distinction in Foundation Diploma at Ravensbourne College in Fashion and Textiles Design, going on to receive a 2:1 in Fine Art BA at Goldsmiths, graduating in 2017.

Over those 10 years I worked and learned extensively in various artistic media, with a strong routing in textiles begging with my GCSE in 2007, going into my A level and Foundation and continuing today.
