Statement

My work explores the tension between order and chaos, structure and entropy, existence and dissolution. Rooted in quantum mechanics and cosmology, my paintings reflect the fundamental uncertainty at the heart of reality—where particles flicker in and out of existence, and perception itself shapes what is seen. Each piece begins in a state of superposition, unpredictable and fragmented, until it collapses into form through intuitive layering and mark-making. Figures emerge in flux—shifting between identities, caught between becoming and unraveling. Symbols and patterns pulse beneath the surface, evoking a hidden cosmic language. Influenced by my background in social work and art psychotherapy, my work processes the psychological impact of vicarious trauma, where the Trickster figure often appears as both guide and disruptor. Faces and eyes reflect the act of observation—suggesting that the viewer’s gaze, like the quantum observer, shapes the outcome. My work is both personal and universal—a visual exploration of liminality, the shadow self, and the blurred boundary between conscious and unconscious states. It invites the viewer to engage with the instability beneath the surface and find meaning in the flux.
