I have always enjoyed being creative although untill 2021/22 this took the form of money saving practical projects such as painting and decorating and upcycling furniture.

I did enjoy art and creating with my young daughter, however this took a back seat to earning a living. I never dreamt that i could produce art that people admired and valued.

I retired at the end of lockdown and was given some clay and tools by colleagues as a leaving gift. I made a few pieces that I was pleased with and this led on to me enrolling in an online painting class. I hasn't stopped painting since!

Every day she I am painting or thinking about the next project. I have tried acrylics, water colour, soft pastel and charcoal. My preferred medium at the moment is soft pastel - but that can change depending on the current project.

I have been commissioned to paint a number of portraits, both people and pets as well as architectural pieces.

I have much to learn and am excited to continue to master known and new techniques and skills.
